Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights

On the day before families and individuals would have been able to apply for DAPA---were it not put on hold by the ruling of a U.S. District Judge in Texas in February---U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) joined the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) to highlight the importance of the DAPA and DACA programs that provide administrative relief to millions of immigrants on Monday, May 18 in Chicago. Community groups in Illinois have been working to ensure that they are ready to help DAPA eligible people with the application process.
