Stricter Safety Standards for Laundry Detergent Packets

In response to an increase in the number of calls to the Illinois Poison Center for laundry detergent packet poisonings in children, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) discussed actions he will take to address the issue including introducing legislation and sending a letter to a regulatory agency on Monday, February 9 in Chicago.
