Voices from Congo Conference

[WASHINGTON, DC] In a speech at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) called attention to the human rights abuses in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and what the U.S. can do to reduce the violence and hold perpetrators accountable. The speech was part of the "Voices from Congo" conference, co-hosted by the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum's Committee on Conscience, the National Endowment for Democracy, and the Eastern Congo Initiative, which aids grass-roots groups in Congo.
