Durbin and Quad Cities Leaders Discuss Economic Development & the Rock Island Arsenal at Annual Meeting
[WASHINGTON, DC] – In a meeting with mayors and local leaders from the Quad Cities region who were in Washington, D.C. for their annual fly-in, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) today discussed his continued commitment to working in Congress to support and promote the Rock Island Arsenal. The group also discussed transportation investments, manufacturing, local economic development and job creation.
“This annual meeting of leaders from the Quad Cities brings together local officials and business representatives from both sides of the river and both political parties. I enjoy seeing this group in Washington every year, and I look forward to working with them at home in Illinois and here in DC to spur economic development and create jobs in our state,” Durbin said.

The Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce represents more than 2,400 businesses and organizations in Rock Island, Henry and Mercer counties in Illinois and Scott County in Iowa.
