Durbin Announces $2 Million in Funding for Chicago O'Hare Airport

[WASHINGTON, DC] – Assistant Senate Majority Leader Dick Durbin (D-IL) announced today that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded a $2 million grant to the city of Chicago for O’Hare International Airport. Today’s funding will be used to rehabilitate an already existing runway at the airport in order to comply with the Federal Aviation Administration’s annual runway inspections.
