[WASHINGTON, DC] – Assistant Senate Majority Leader Dick Durbin (D-IL) announced today that the Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded a $500,000 grant to the Springfield Airport Authority. This funding will be used to acquire new snow removal equipment at the Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield, Illinois.

“Central Illinoisans depend on the Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport for their air travel,” said Durbin. “Today’s funding will help the airport keep its runways safe year-round and improve overall efficiency.”
