Durbin Hosts Illinois Members at Bipartisan Delegation Luncheon

[WASHINGTON, D.C.] – U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) today hosted members of the Illinois Congressional Delegation at the fifth bipartisan Illinois Congressional Delegation Luncheon of the 113th Congress.  The members discussed the impact the federal government shutdown is having on Illinoisans. 

 

The luncheon today was attended by thirteen members of the Illinois Congressional Delegation: Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), Senator Mark Kirk (R-IL), Representative Cheri Bustos (D-IL), Representative Danny Davis (D-IL), Representative Rodney Davis (R-IL), Representative Bill Enyart (D-IL), Representative Bill Foster (D-IL), Representative Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), Representative Robin Kelly (D-IL), Representative Mike Quigley (D-IL), Representative Brad Schneider (D-IL), Representative Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) and Representative John Shimkus (R-IL).

 

The Delegation Luncheon has been held regularly in Washington, DC at no expense to the federal taxpayer for over 25 years.  Today’s luncheon carries on the unique tradition of bipartisanship that has long existed between Illinois members of Congress.
