Durbin Meets With Grain And Feed Association Of Illinois
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL), a member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, today met with the Grain and Feed Association of Illinois. During the meeting, they discussed the importance of transportation infrastructure, trade, and workforce needs in keeping Illinois agriculture strong. They also thanked Durbin for his work in securing federal funding through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to improve Illinois’ locks and dams.
“As the Senate continues its work on the Farm Bill, I appreciate hearing firsthand experiences from the members of the Grain and Feed Association of Illinois. I will continue to work closely with them as we craft the right federal policies, from trucking, to rail safety, and a strong immigrant workforce, that can support their critical role in the grain sector,” said Durbin.
