Durbin Statement on First Slate Of Biden Administration U.S. Attorney Nominations

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL), Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, today released the following statement regarding the first slate of U.S. Attorney nominations from the Biden Administration:

“I’m pleased that the Biden Administration has announced its first slate of U.S. Attorney nominees.  I look forward to timely consideration of these nominations in Committee.”

Today’s slate of U.S. Attorney nominees include:

  • Erek L. Barron, U.S. Attorney nominee for the District of Maryland, would be the first African American to serve as the United States Attorney for the District of Maryland.
  • Nicholas W. Brown, U.S. Attorney nominee for the Western District of Washington, would be the first African American to serve as the United States Attorney for the Western District of Washington.
  • Clifford D. Johnson, U.S. Attorney nominee for the Northern District of Indiana, would be the first African American to serve as the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana.
  • Zachary A. Myers, U.S. Attorney nominee for the Southern District of Indiana, would be the first African American to serve as the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana.
  • Rachael S. Rollins, U.S. Attorney nominee for the District of Massachusetts, would be the first African American woman to serve as the United States attorney for the District of Massachusetts.
  • Trini E. Ross, U.S. Attorney nominee for the Western District of New York, would be the first African American woman to serve as the United States attorney for the Western District of New York.
  • Vanessa Waldref, U.S. Attorney nominee for the Eastern District of Washington, would be the first woman to serve as United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington.
  • Matthew M. Graves, U.S. Attorney nominee for the District of Columbia
